Adams and Reese attorney Kellen J. Mathews has been elected to the Board of The Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank, which has served the hungry for more than 25 years in Baton Rouge and 11 surrounding parishes, providing food to more than 130 charitable agencies.

The food bank is a nonprofit organization that solicits, procures, inventories, and warehouses donated food and other products, and then, the food is distributed to a variety of community agencies such as pantries, meal sites, homes, shelters, and soup kitchens, which serve the people in need. The food bank distributed more than 10 million meals in 2013. 

Mathews is an Associate in the Baton Rouge office of Adams and Reese and is in the Litigation Practice Group. Practicing law since 2008, Mathews has experience in complex litigation, commercial law, labor and employment, products liability, governmental relations, municipal law and commercial and personal injury claims.

In 2008, Mathews received his J.D. from Paul M. Hebert Law Center of Louisiana State University. In 2004, he earned his bachelor of arts in political science from Millsaps College.

Adams and Reese is a proud supporter of The Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank, and Mathews is the latest in a notable line of Adams and Reese attorneys who have provided dedicated service to the Board of the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank over the years, including E.L. Henry and Danny Rester, who is the outgoing Vice President of the Board.
