Thomas H. Dart, a partner with the law firm of Adams and Reese, has been appointed to the board of directors of The Argus Foundation, (ArgusFoundation.org), a nonprofit organization dedicated to joining business leaders from diverse industries and leveraging their talents and experience to benefit the community.

Founded in 1983, The Argus Foundation has more than 170 members from 50 different industries, including established liaisons within city, county, state and federal governments. Dart was named to the board during the foundation’s 32nd annual meeting, which took place Jan. 21 in Sarasota.

Dart is a member of the Adams and Reese Litigation Practice Team in the multidisciplinary law firm’s Sarasota office. Practicing law for more than 37 years, he maintains a primary focus on commercial litigation, products liability matters and health care-related matters. Dart routinely represents large and small companies, including physicians groups and other health care entities, accounting firms and financial institutions. Over the course of his career, he has handled numerous complex commercial litigation matters, corporate disputes, employment litigation, lender liability cases and construction claims disputes.

Dart is an AV-rated lawyer by esteemed peer-rating service Martindale Hubbell®. He has also consistently been ranked among Best Lawyers® (by BL Rankings, LLC) in several litigation practice areas. Dart is a past president of the Sarasota County Bar Association and a past chairman of both the Florida Bar Grievance Committee for the 12th Judicial Circuit and the board of directors of Gulf Coast Legal Services, Inc. He currently serves on both the Second District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission and the executive council of the Trial Lawyers Section of the Florida Bar.
