Adams and Reese employees and attorneys were named recipients of the 2014 HUGS “Volunteer of the Year” awards, presented to one attorney or staff member in each office who best demonstrates the spirit of charitable and pro bono giving.
At Adams and Reese, the firm’s corporate philanthropy program, HUGS (Hope, Understanding, Giving, and Support), was founded in 1988 and since its inception, the firm has devoted financial resources and thousands of volunteer hours to offer assistance to those in need through more than 200 nonprofit and community organizations throughout the firm’s regional footprint.
Attorneys who received the award included: Lyndey Zwing, Columbia; Laura Rose, Jackson, Caroline Prieto, Jacksonville; Cannon Allen, Memphis; and Lisa Hedrick, New Orleans.
Staff members who received the “HUGS Volunteer of the Year” award included: Kristen Viator, Baton Rouge; Tammy Nix, Birmingham; Chris Sitz, Houston; Sherri Charles, Mobile; Lisa D'Angelo, St. Petersburg; and Tellie Settimi, Tampa. Receiving a “HUGS Special Recognition” plaque included: Cheryl Michel, New Orleans; and Lisa Wallace, New Orleans.
