Adams and Reese is pleased to announce that Thomas P. White has joined the firm as an Associate in the Litigation Practice Group in its Jacksonville, Florida office. Practicing law since 2014, White focuses his practice on general commercial litigation, labor and employment law, and real estate litigation. He has considerable experience in contract disputes, shareholder disputes, injunction practice and alternative dispute resolution. White has represented clients in all aspects of civil litigation, including drafting and arguing dispositive motions, counseling clients in mediation and arbitration, litigating discovery disputes and handling evidentiary hearings.
White earned his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law and, during his time as a law student, was elected to the Order of the Coif, a national honor society open to students ranking in the top ten percent of their law school graduating class. He also interned for the Honorable Marcia G. Cooke of the Southern District of Florida as well as the Honorable Spencer D. Levine of the Florida Fourth District Court of Appeal. White placed first in the Evan A. Evans Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition, a national competition judged by state supreme court justices and federal circuit court judges. He also participated in UM’s Litigation Skills Program and was awarded the Litigation Skills Faculty Scholarship for his performance.
Prior to law school, White earned a B.A. in Political Science and History from Auburn University. As an undergraduate, he interned for two summers in former U.S. Rep. Ron Klein’s Boca Raton and Washington, D.C. offices.
In the community, White previously served on the Board of Directors for the Lighthouse of Broward, a non-profit organization providing comprehensive educational and rehabilitation services, and counseling to blind and visually impaired children and adults.
