NEW ORLEANS – Adams and Reese’s New Orleans Partner Lee C. Reid was among 20 individuals selected by the Young Leadership Council’s (YLC) 2017 Role Model Class. Composed of business, community and civic leaders around the Crescent City, the 2017 Class will be honored at the 31st Annual YLC Role Model Awards Gala on Sept. 16 at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans Hotel.

Annually since 1987, the YLC has selected a class of outstanding New Orleanians who serve as role models by actively contributing to the betterment of the Greater New Orleans region. These individuals are an inspiration to YLC’s young professional members and to the community at large.

Reid – whose practice areas include litigation, economic development, government relations, education, public finance, aerospace/aviation, charter schools and land use – joined Adams and Reese in 1999 and serves as one of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group leaders. A past president of the YLC, he also serves on the Board of Directors for Infinity Science Center and Partners for Stennis, among others. Reid was most recently appointed by Mayor Mitch Landrieu as a commissioner on the Board Of The Arts Council of New Orleans.

Each year’s class of honorees is selected by a committee including members of the YLC Board of Directors and past YLC Role Model Award recipients. The committee members review all nominations submitted from the community before selecting a final list of individuals. Individuals are selected based on significant contributions to their field of work, to their community, and to New Orleans at large. Notably, a person can only receive the honor of YLC Role Model once in his or her lifetime.
