Adams and Reese transactions attorney Andrew “Andy” Freeman has been named Partner in Charge of the firm’s Mobile office, which is headquartered in RSA Battle House Tower and home to more than 30 attorneys and staff. Adams and Reese, a regional multidisciplinary law firm, has 16 Partners in Charge, leading each of the 16 Adams and Reese offices across the southern U.S. and Washington, D.C.
“We greatly appreciate Britton Bonner’s leadership, and we are confident that Andy will continue Britton’s efforts to further grow our presence in the Mobile community,” said Gif Thornton, Adams and Reese Managing Partner.
“Andy is an accomplished transactions attorney and a proven leader within our firm and the Mobile community,” said Bonner, who has served as Partner in Charge of the firm’s Mobile office since 2011, and was recently appointed to lead the Economic Development Practice Team for the firm. “His practical leadership approach and commitment to our firm and our clients will pave the way for his success as Partner in Charge. I am confident Andy will do a great job in this role.”

Freeman joined Adams and Reese in 2005 as a member of the firm’s Transactions and Corporate Advisory Services Practice Group. He counsels and advises clients in mergers and acquisitions, banking and finance, loan workouts, commercial property sales and purchases, forestry transactions, corporate restructurings, and in the drafting and negotiation of complex corporate transactions. His representative experience also spans the maritime and oil and gas industries.
In the Mobile community, Freeman is a board member of the Child Advocacy Center of Mobile and a member of the Mobile Downtown Rotary. He is also an alumnus of the Greater Mobile MS Leadership Class of 2016, the Alabama State Bar Leadership Forum Class of 2015, Mobile Bay Magazine’s “40 Under Forty” Class of 2013, and the Leadership Mobile Class of 2011. Freeman serves as an At-Large Council Member for the Alabama State Bar Business Section and on the Selection Committee for the Alabama State Bar Leadership Forum. He volunteers with the South Alabama Volunteer Lawyers Wills for Heroes initiative.
A Mid-South Rising Star in Mergers and Acquisitions, Freeman earned his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law. He earned his B.S. in Computer Science and B.A. in Political Science from the University of Alabama.
