The Adams and Reese Columbia office, through its October HUGS (Hope, Understanding, Giving and Support) breast cancer awareness and research fundraising efforts, donated $850 to the Palmetto Health Foundation, a nonprofit that engages community partners to enhance healthcare for patients and families and to organizations such as Children's Hospital, the Cancer Centers and Hospice.

Adams and Reese’s activities throughout the month of October included participating in the 2014 Walk For Life/Race For Life event held October 18 in Finlay Park. More than 11,000 walkers and runners total helped raise nearly $719,000 for Palmetto Health Breast Cancer.

The office also had jeans/pink clothing days every Friday; a book fair; pink bake off; health professional speaker lunch and learn; and a “pro bono-thon” in which students from the South Carolina School of Law volunteered to come to the Columbia office and assist attorneys in responding to legal questions using the SC Law Answers Program.

The Adams and Reese employee volunteer program, HUGS (Hope, Understanding, Giving, and Support), has devoted financial resources and thousands of volunteer hours to more than 200 community service organizations nationwide.
