Adams and Reese Partner Jim Dickson presented a program this morning on “Legal Ethics: Going Beyond the Model Rules,” at The National Association of Clean Water Agencies conference held at the Don CeSar in St. Petersburg. In front of more than 100 attorneys, Dickson discussed the importance of professional responsibility and various hypothetical situations concerning legal ethical issues related to the practice of environmental law. After the presentation, instead of accepting a $500 stipend for the presentation, Dickson directed that the Association donate the stipend to “Water for People,” on behalf of Adams and Reese.

Water for People is a nonprofit working with families, communities, governments and small businesses of 10 developing countries to plan, finance, build, operate and maintain local water and sanitation services to last into the future without International aid. Recently, Chinda, Honduras and Cuchumuela, Bolivia, now have permanent safe drinking water for 100 percent of their populations, and many other districts are well on their way to the same achievement. Water for People remains committed to its mission of full coverage in 30 districts across 10 countries by the end of 2018.

At Adams and Reese, Dickson focuses his practice on construction law and environmental law. He represents clients in a broad array of environmental matters concerning hazardous substances, contaminated property, Brownfields, asbestos, RCRA, CERCLA, and toxic torts.

Dickson has an AV® Peer Review Rating by Martindale-Hubbell and has been recognized in Florida Super Lawyers® (by Thomson Reuters), 2006-2014, as well as Best Lawyers® (by BL Rankings, LLC), 2009-2015.
