The Adams and Reese Houston office used its video conferencing equipment and bought lunch for the office so its lawyers and staff members in Houston could watch Thursday's big World Cup game between USA and Germany, which saw the USA lose 1-0, but the national team still advanced to the knockout stage of the World Cup tournament. The luncheon was highlighted in a Houston Chronicle article, "Workers Break Up Day to Watch U.S. in World Cup Match."

 

The firm picked up the tab to bring in sandwiches from a local deli, and e-mail notices went out Thursday morning inviting everyone to bring themselves, and their laptops, to the big conference room for the "team building" exercise. Employees were also dressed down in red, white and blue.
