The Adams and Reese Houston office, through a firm-wide “Back to School HUGS Initiative,” collected donations to purchase school supplies and backpacks for students in need through YMCA Operation Backpack at Langham Creek Family YMCA.

The Langham Creek Family YMCA distributed close to 1,000 backpacks and 31,550 supplies to approximately 875 students, and Adams and Reese helped raise enough money to purchase 20 backpacks for the new school year.

Adams and Reese Houston employees Sharon Hall and Deborah Flowers served as the HUGS coordinators for the fundraising drive.

Every year, YMCAs across the Greater Houston area provide school supplies for children in communities so they can start school with the tools to be successful.

The Adams and Reese employee volunteer program, also known as HUGS (Hope, Understanding, Giving and Support), helps more than 200 organizations firm-wide and donates thousands of hours and untold dollars to offer communities “hands on” activities and assistance to those less fortunate. Whether in the form of special events or participation in agency-sponsored fundraisers, Adams and Reese employees and attorneys are known throughout the region and the nation for their community action.
