The Adams and Reese Memphis Office, through a firm-wide “Back to School HUGS Initiative,” collected donations to purchase school supplies and backpacks for 24 children in grades kindergarten through fifth grade at Westside Elementary School.

Adams and Reese employees delivered the backpacks and supplies on August 3, and employees were greeted at the school with much appreciation, said the firm’s project organizer and Adams and Reese Memphis Partner Ben Fox.

“We approached the local district and were told that Westside, a small school in the Frayser area, was in need of assistance for their children, so we reached out to the school, and the administration was elated,” Fox said. “We were treated to a tour of the school, given special thanks from the teachers and principal, and we look forward to assisting the school with HUGS activities in the future.”

The Adams and Reese employee volunteer program, also known as HUGS (Hope, Understanding, Giving and Support), helps more than 200 organizations firm-wide and donates thousands of hours and untold dollars to offer communities “hands on” activities and assistance to those less fortunate. Whether in the form of special events or participation in agency-sponsored fundraisers, Adams and Reese employees and attorneys are known throughout the region and the nation for their community action.
