Adams and Reese transactions attorney Andrew B. Freeman has been selected to participate in the Greater Mobile MS Leadership Class of 2016 campaign. The National Multiple Sclerosis Society fundraising campaign honors outstanding business professionals in the Greater Mobile, Alabama area who are dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by multiple sclerosis. Freeman was one of 45 class members honored with the 2016 MS Leadership Award at a reception at the Country Club of Mobile Sept. 14th.
The annual Greater Mobile MS Leadership Class campaign is facilitated by the Alabama-Mississippi Chapter of the National MS Society. It honors senior level professionals for their outstanding contributions to the business, civic and cultural betterment of the city. Freeman and fellow 2016 class members took Honorary Chair John Wade Therrell’s challenge of raising at least $2,000 to support the National MS Society.
At Adams and Reese, Freeman is a partner in the Transactions and Corporate Advisory Services Practice Group in the firm’s Mobile office. He focuses his practice in the areas of corporate securities, mergers and acquisitions, finance, real estate and forestry. Freeman counsels clients in corporate acquisitions, banking and finance, loan workouts, commercial property sales and purchases, forestry transactions, corporate restructurings, and complex corporate transactions.
Earlier this year, Freeman was elected to serve as an At-Large Council Member for the newly re-created Alabama State Bar Business Section and was appointed to serve on the Selection Committee for the Alabama State Bar’s Leadership Forum. He is a board member of Child Advocacy Center of Mobile. Freeman is an alumnus of the Alabama State Bar Leadership Forum (2015) and Leadership Mobile (2011).
Since 1994, National MS Society Leadership Class members have raised more than $2 million to support local programs and services for people living with MS and their families as well as to fund cutting-edge research.
