Twenty-four attorneys from Adams and Reese have been selected for Mid-South Super Lawyers and Rising Stars 2014, which is published in the November issue of Mid-South Super Lawyers Magazine. Only five percent of attorneys in the Mid-South states, which include Mississippi and Tennessee, receive the honor of Super Lawyer. The selection process includes peer nominations, review by a blue-ribbon panel and independent research.

The Super Lawyers in the Adams and Reese Jackson office include: Holmes Adams (Estate Planning and Probate); Chuck Adams (Business/Corporate); Bill Brabec (Business Litigation); Phil Buffington (Banking); Paul Carrubba (Banking); Jim Keith (Schools and Education); Charles Parrott (Banking); Jay Stewart (Energy and Resources); and Jeffrey Trotter (Energy and Natural Resources, Class Action/Mass Torts). The Rising Stars in Jackson include: Michele McCain (Energy and Natural Resources) and Robert Parrott (General Litigation).

The Super Lawyers in the Adams and Reese Memphis office include: Cannon Allen (Class Action/Mass Torts); Jim McLaren (Real Estate); Mark Norris (Business Litigation); Lucian Pera (Business Litigation); Hank Shelton (Bankruptcy and Creditor/Debtor Rights); and Emily Taube (Business Litigation). Jay Campbell (Mergers and Acquisitions) was named among the Rising Stars in Memphis.

Candidates for selection are evaluated based on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement, including verdicts, settlements, transactions, representative clients, experience, honors and awards, special licenses and certifications, position within law firm, bar and/or other professional activity, pro bono and community service, scholarly lectures and writings, education and employment background and other outstanding achievements.
