Adams and Reese Partners Laurie Young and Jaimmé Collins volunteered at and helped transform the second annual Children’s Bureau “Children’s Hero Awards” into a superhero-style setting, taking place on October 3 in Young’s New Orleans Lakefront home. The event was covered by The Times-Picayune in the article, “Children’s Bureau of New Orleans Celebrates the Heroes in our Midst.”

Collins, who serves as Past Board President of the Children’s Bureau, kicked off the event's official agenda by welcoming guests, then turned the floor over to Alden McDonald, who noted the youth of the crowd, also saying “I am seeing the city's new leaders here.”

Board President Chris Foucheaux then welcomed guests and this year's honorees, who were recognized for their heroic commitment to children in the community. Raffle items included VIP tickets to the New Orleans Saints vs. Atlanta Falcons game; a seven-course email in your home by private chef Mae Leonard; and a ride for two in the Krewe of Orpheus parade.

The Children’s Bureau provides programs that improve the quality of life of children and families by addressing mental health issues.
