Aaron G. McLeod

Special Counsel

Aaron joined Adams and Reese in 2008 and focuses his practice on appellate litigation. Aaron has represented multiple clients in briefing and winning appeals before the Alabama appellate courts and the Eleventh Circuit and Fifth Circuit Courts of Appeal and has served as appellate counsel for clients facing major trials. Aaron is also experienced in defending professional-malpractice cases and has published on the topic of Alabama legal-malpractice law for the American Bar Association’s Professional Liability Litigation Committee.

Aaron’s additional accomplishments include:

  • Youngest chairman ever elected of the Alabama State Bar's Appellate-Practice Section
  • Serving on the Steering Committee for the Eleventh Circuit Appellate Practice Institute
  • Being named among the Alabama Rising Stars® in litigation every year since 2011

Aaron graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama School of Law. He counts Bryan A. Garner, Editor-in-Chief of Black’s Law Dictionary and an authority on legal writing, among the people he most admires for his passion for the language and for working to make legal writing more like plain English.
