Aaron G. McLeod

Associate
Litigation

Aaron McLeod joined Adams and Reese in 2008 and is one of only a few Associates with a major Birmingham law firm who is focusing his practice on trial and appellate litigation. He has also expanded his knowledge of legal-malpractice law as a recent author on the topic for the American Bar Association’s Professional Liability Litigation Committee.

After graduating in the top five percent of his class at the University of Alabama School of Law, Aaron has already distinguished himself by briefing and winning three appeals to the Alabama Supreme Court.

His significant contributions include:

  • Representing clients in public bond debt litigation, foreclosures, personal injury defense, estate litigation, legal malpractice litigation, and appeals.
  • Election to the University of Alabama School of Law chapter of the Order of the Coif.
  • Serving as Articles Editor on the managing board of the Alabama Law Review.
  • Receiving the Reuben H. Wright Award for the Best Appellate Advocate and the James E. Morrisette Constitutional Law Award.
  • Winning the 2007 John A. Campbell Moot Court competition.

Aaron counts Bryan A. Garner, the Editor-in-Chief of Black’s Law Dictionary and an authority on legal writing, among people he most admires for his expertise in and passion for the language and for improving legal prose.
