The Adams and Reese Houston office took third place in the Law Firms Division in the 15th Annual Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Sports Challenge held Saturday, April 28th, at Spotts Park in Houston. This was the fifth consecutive year in which Adams and Reese fielded a team in the event that raises funds to research a cure for cystic fibrosis.
The Sports Challenge is a half-day competition in which teams sponsored by local businesses participate in a series of six mini-Olympic style events: obstacle course, hot shots, team jump rope, football throw, buddy walker and tug-of-war. After the competition, lunch is served and awards are presented. There are gold, silver, and bronze Olympic medals for the highest scoring teams in each flight.
Adams and Reese participants in this year's event included: attorneys Craig Wilcox, Rich Stewart, Bradley Waters, Marrick Armstrong and Kevin Gieseke. Other Adams and Reese employees participating included: Markeith Hamilton, Jaime Ledesma, Cristal Becerra, Tara Rollin and Melissa Gonzalez.
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is a member of the Adams and Reese employee volunteer program, HUGS (Hope, Understanding, Giving, and Support), which was founded in 1988 and has since devoted financial resources and thousands of volunteer hours to offer assistance to those in need. Every year throughout Adams and Reese’s 13 offices in its regional footprint, employees donate time, money and supplies to more than 100 community organizations in need.
