After the addition on January 1st of two new offices, St. Petersburg and Sarasota, the law firm of Adams and Reese continues its growth in Florida, announcing the March 1st opening of a new Tampa office with the addition of 7 attorneys and a certified land planner, formerly with the Ft. Lauderdale-based law firm of Ruden McClosky.
The announcement was made by Charles P. Adams, Jr., Managing Partner of Adams and Reese. The announcement comes just a month after the firm added 60 attorneys and staff formerly with Ruden McClosky on January 1, 2010.
The addition of the Tampa office further strengthens the regional footprint and client services of Adams and Reese and increases the firm’s size to over 290 lawyers in 13 offices in 12 markets including: Tampa, St. Petersburg and Sarasota, FL; Memphis and Nashville, TN; New Orleans and Baton Rouge, LA; Birmingham and Mobile, AL; Houston, TX; Jackson, MS; and Washington, DC.
“The Tampa Bay area has always been on our strategic radar with its growing dynamic market, and this is a natural extension of our firm's growth,” said Adams. “We have been looking for the right opportunity to open an office in Tampa, and this addition strengthens our critical mass along the Florida west coast.”
Adams added: “These lawyers had close professional and personal relationships with our Sarasota and St. Petersburg attorneys, and they wanted those relationships to continue by joining our firm. We are very excited about the talent and depth of the attorneys coming to us.”
The Tampa attorneys will be temporarily housed in Adams and Reese's St. Petersburg office, while the firm works quickly to find office space in Tampa for permanent operations, said Adams.
Joining Adams and Reese in the Tampa office are attorneys Robert W. Boos, Marilyn Mullen Healy, Donald A. Mihokovich, Deborah H. Oliver, James J. Porter, Kimberly J. Madison, Melissa Rizzo, and non-lawyer, Susan M. Finch, AICP Land Planner, and staff.
"Bob Boos and his litigation group are extremely well-known in Tampa, bring years of tremendous experience and provide instant credibility to our litigation practice in this region," said Adams and Reese Partner David Bernstein, of the firm's St. Petersburg office.
Bernstein continued, "Marilyn Healy and her group represent large national companies and high-end land use projects, and their clientele and experience will strengthen our real estate, land acquisition and construction practices."
