Adams and Reese Special Counsel Charles Castille will lead an executive health care panel, “The Future of Medicaid in Louisiana: The Impact on Health Care,” to be held Wednesday, July 27th from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Pennington Conference Center in Baton Rouge.
Panelists will include Jerry Phillips, Undersecretary, Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals; Dr. Fred Cerise, LSU System Vice President for Health Affairs and Medical Education; and David Hood, Senior Health Care Policy Analyst, Public Affairs Research Council.
The panel will discuss Medicaid Funding, Impact on Providers, Coordinated Care Networks, National Health Care Reform, Medicaid Block Grant and other health care issues. The forum will be of interest to hospital executives/administrators, doctors, nursing home executives, chain pharmacists, independent pharmacists and other industry professionals.
At Adams and Reese, Castille serves as Special Counsel in the firm’s Baton Rouge office. He was a longtime attorney with the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals who spent 12 years as undersecretary of DHH.
He has a total of 35 years in public service, was responsible for planning, directing and coordinating all activities for the DHH Office of Management and Finance, including Medicaid, planning and budget, human resources training and development, fiscal information, information technology, engineering and architectural services, contracts and procurement support, materials management, Health Education Authority of Louisiana, and safety and security.
