Alisha M. Duhon

Alisha Duhon is a Government Affairs Advisor with the Government Relations team in Baton Rouge. Her 18 years of experience encompasses work within state and local government, the oil and gas, engineering and construction, and tourism industries, ethics compliance and state legislative affairs.

Since joining the firm in 2008, Alisha maintains year-round contact with legislators, staff, and the executive branches of government in order to support clients’ endeavors in and out of the capitol. She also performs client outreach to keep clients up-to-date of new and/or ongoing information that impacts business in Louisiana such as:

  • Broadening the amount of information clients receive, including events and information coming out of the weekly legislative session and state departments.
  • Distributing articles and information from press sources and state departments that are of interest to current and prospective clients.
  • Informing the government relations team about opportunities that affect clients’ interests, such as RFPs, contracts and other business opportunities.

Alisha is responsible for ethics compliance and recordkeeping maintenance relevant to the lobbying of the legislative and executive branches, Political Action Committees, and Campaign Finance for the firm and clients.

For nearly a decade before joining the firm, Alisha served as Communications Coordinator for the Louisiana Oil and Gas Association (LOGA), the association organized to represent the independent and service sectors of the oil and gas industry in Louisiana. In this capacity, she worked closely with Louisiana legislators, and had contacts with over 900-association members. Alisha oversaw the editorial, advertising and marketing of LOGA’s printed and online materials. Additionally, she conducted fundraisers and tracked legislative bills and affairs.

During college, Alisha volunteered for many local organizations and worked in different capacities for local governments, private firms, and the State Office of Cultural Development. In her free time, Alisha loves exploring the social and political cultures of Louisiana and enjoys spending time with her family cooking and fishing.
