Alisha Duhon joined Adams and Reese in 2008 and is a Governmental Affairs Advisor (non-lawyer) with the Governmental Relations team in Baton Rouge. Her experience encompasses work within the oil and gas, engineering and construction, and tourism industries.
Alisha works with legislators and the executive branches of government in order to assist the Governmental Relations team support its clients’ endeavors. She also helps keep clients informed of new information that impacts businesses in Louisiana.
Her other significant contributions include:
Broadening the amount of information clients receive, including events and information coming out of the weekly legislative session and state departments that would be of interest to their companies.
Keeping clients in the loop and abreast of RFPs, contracts and other business opportunities.
Distributing articles and information from press sources and state departments that are of interest to current and prospective clients.
Expanding the amount of information to the Government Relations team about opportunities that affect clients’ interests.
For nearly a decade, Alisha served as Communications Coordinator for the Louisiana Oil and Gas Association (LOGA). In this capacity, she worked closely with Louisiana legislators, and had contacts with over 900-association members. Alisha oversaw the editorial, advertising and marketing of LOGA’s printed and online materials. Additionally, she conducted fundraisers and tracked legislative bills and affairs.
