The Lateral Hiring Process
A lateral interested in pursuing a career with Adams
and Reese should transmit his or her resume and cover
letter to Recruiting@arlaw.com,
Legal Recruiting Manager. Indicating the office desired
and area of interest or experience helps to expedite
the process significantly.
Once a resume is received, a member of the Recruiting Committee will determine whether experience and level of practice meets any current need of the firm. If not, we will generally so advise you. We find that most laterals do not appreciate “courtesy interviews,” so we rarely offer them.
If your resume seems to match a current need of the firm, a member of the Recruiting Committee or the Practice Group Leader appropriate to your area of practice will contact you to schedule an interview and gather more information.
Authority to offer careers to laterals rests with the Managing Partner or the Executive Committee, depending upon a variety of factors. |
