Overview

Each fall, Adams and Reese hires a select group of second year students to participate in the Summer Associate Program. We invite law students with excellent academic records and well-rounded backgrounds to take a look at how we run our organization. We are looking for people who are motivated and personable and whose educational and professional accomplishments presage future achievements.

Summer associates are offered a six-week session to share in our culture. We regard a six-week program as an ideal time frame for us to assess your professional potential and for summer associates to make a well-informed career decision about us. Some of our offices run two sessions, and you may have a choice of first or second half.

New associates come almost exclusively from our Summer Associate Program. Third year law students who have not clerked for us are ineligible for a first year associate position.

Our Washington, D.C. office does not run a summer program. Our Birmingham office hires a few outstanding students who have completed only their first year of law school, as well as second year law students.
