Daniel “Danny” Rester joined Adams and Reese in 1997 and serves as a Partner in the areas of commercial litigation, gaming, transactional law, oil and gas. For the past 37 years he has built his knowledge of commercial litigation and transactional law, including 20 years with an additional focus on gaming. He is included in Chambers USA as a leader in the field of gaming and licensing. Danny was also named in Louisiana Super Lawyers® in 2009.
He has extensive experience in the oil and gas arena and in expropriations. In addition to being an attorney, Danny is also a licensed title insurance agent for First American Title Insurance Company and Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company.
His significant contributions include:
- Ongoing gaming licensing and financial transactions.
- Commercial lease negotiations, loan transactions, construction and commercial litigation.
- Corporate and partnership matters.
- Pipeline right-of-way negotiations and condemnations.
Danny is a private pilot and the owner of a Piper Cherokee Six. When he’s on the ground he can often be found on his Harley Davidson motorcycle that he’s owned for more than 10 years. He is also proficient in the water as a scuba diver with more than 30 years’ experience.
