Elizabeth “Lizzie” Martin joined Adams and Reese in 2008 after graduating summa cum laude from Mississippi College School of Law. Prior to graduation, Ms. Martin worked as a petroleum landman, which supports her practice on the Energy and Environmental team.
She focuses her practice primarily on oil and gas related legal work including drilling title opinions, oil and gas litigation and other real property legal services. In addition, she has experience advising clients on alternative energy matters, including wind power and biomass conversion.
Her significant contributions and honors include:
- Serving as an extern to the Hon. Henry T. Wingate, Chief District Judge for the Southern District of Mississippi.
- Receiving American Jurisprudence awards for Oil and Gas Law, Secured Transactions, Trial Practice and Trusts.
- Elected Production Editor for the Mississippi College Law Review, served as a member of the Moot Court Board, and participated in the 2008 Robert F. Wagner National Labor & Employment Law Moot Court Competition.
In her free time, Lizzie enjoys cooking, traveling, playing golf, and running. As a former Rebel Recruiter with the Ole Miss Football Program, she actively follows Ole Miss athletics and enjoys cheering on the Rebels with her husband, also a University of Mississippi graduate.
