Robert Parrott joined Adams and Reese in 2011 as a Litigation Associate in the firm’s Jackson office. He was a former summer associate with Adams and Reese in 2010.

In 2009, Robert interned with the Mississippi Supreme Court under Justice David Chandler, conducting legal research, and he drafted a memorandum that was later turned into a proposed opinion. Robert also interned with the United States District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi, where he drafted legal memos for Federal habeas corpus cases.

While attending Millsaps College, Robert interned for Reznick Group – Mississippi Homeowner’s Assistance Program, where he gained experience analyzing 1040’s, W-2’s, Social Security and other various income forms to determine whether applicants were eligible for grants after Hurricane Katrina.

Robert’s other accomplishments include:

  • Receiving the 2011 Brief Writing Award from Scribes, The American Society of Legal Writers, which presents the award annually to the overall best brief submitted in any regional or national moot court competition.
  • Serving as Staff Editor and Associate Articles Editor for the Mississippi Law Journal.
  • Achieving a grade of “Excellence” on oral and written comprehensive examinations in Business Administration at Millsaps College

Robert earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Mississippi School of Law, in 2011, and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration, from Millsaps College, in 2008. While attending Millsaps, Robert served as the “Chili Bowl” Chairman in 2007, a year in which the event raised more than $11,000 for the Lifeshare Foundation.

In his spare time, Robert enjoys traveling, watching baseball and football, and spending time with family and friends.
