Adams and Reese Partner Gif Thornton, in the firm’s Nashville office, has been elected Chairman of the firm's Executive Committee.
The Executive Committee, comprised of six partners, oversees the strategic operations of the firm and its attorneys and staff in 13 offices in six states and Washington, DC.
This is Thornton’s second term as Chairman after serving in the role in 2010.
“I look forward to working with my partners and our professional staff across our regional footprint to ensure we offer our clients the highest level of advocacy and counsel,” Thornton said.
Thornton is a partner on the firm’s Government Relations team and serves as legislative counsel to a number of businesses, trade associations and governmental entities with interests before the Tennessee state government. In addition, he represents clients before regulatory boards and administrative agencies of local, state and federal government.
