Jason P. Mueller

Intellectual Property

Jason Mueller joined Adams and Reese in 2003 and is a Capital Partner and member of the Global Intellectual Property Team.

Jason dedicates his practice to intellectual property matters, including patent prosecution (both foreign and domestic), patent litigation, post grant proceedings before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (including Inter Partes Reviews) and patent counseling (including opinions, licensing and due diligence) with a particular emphasis in the mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical arts. His experience covers a wide range of technologies including oil and gas systems and tools, aerospace systems, automotive devices and systems, computer devices and peripherals, consumer goods, medical devices, manufacturing equipment, composite materials and power systems.

Jason advises a broad range of clients, from multinational corporations to universities and develops, manages and protects global patent and trademark portfolios.

Jason has worked at the United States Patent and Trademark Office and lived and worked in New York City and Europe, advising some of the largest technology-based companies in the world. Prior to attending law school, he worked as a mechanical engineer with International Paper Corporation and as a project manager, lead engineer and project manager for URS Corporation. His engineering experience spans chemical, power generation, water treatment, aerospace and pulp and paper industries.
