Jessica I. Morris joined Adams and Reese in 2010 in the firm's Jackson office. She is an Associate in the Special Business Services Practice Group and on the firm's Labor and Employment Practice Team.
Her experience includes general education, including special education matters, school board policies and its impact on district operations, and also labor and employment issues. Jessica formerly served as Assistant District Counsel with the Jackson Public School District.
Jessica is a former attorney for the Mississippi Center for Legal Services, where she counseled and advised clients on FEMA appeals, contractor fraud, domestic relations and housing issues. She served as one of four Katrina Pro Bono Legal Corps attorneys in the state of Mississippi with Equal Justice Works/AmeriCorps Attorneys, where she coordinated volunteer law students in providing disaster-related legal services to Katrina survivors and provided advice and counsel to Katrina survivors; including writing FEMA appeals on their behalf.
Jessica received her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 2005 and served as an Associate Editor at the Michigan Journal of Race and Law. She received her B.A. with honors from Vassar College in 2000.
