Laura S. Bauman joined Adams and Reese in 2010 following the firm's expansion into Sarasota. She has been practicing law since 2005 with experience in civil litigation. Laura is a member of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group.

Laura handles a variety of commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, title defects, and lien foreclosures. Her clients include title insurers, real estate developers, commercial financial institutions, contractors, and homeowner and condominium associations. Laura has a background in commercial and residential real estate transactions, which allows her to better understand the events that may have led to clients’ current disputes.

Laura is a member of the American Bar Association, Sarasota County Bar Association and Young Lawyers Division of The Florida Bar. She is admitted to practice in Florida, as well as the United States District Courts in the Middle, Northern, and Southern Districts of Florida.

A native of the Sarasota area, Laura received her J.D., cum laude, from Florida State University in 2004, and earned her B.A., cum laude, in Spanish, from Florida State University in 2001. During her undergraduate studies, Laura spent a semester abroad in Valencia, Spain.

In her community, Laura serves on the Board of Directors for the Child Protection Center. CPC works towards a community in which children are safe from abuse and free to thrive through its mission in the prevention, intervention and treatment of child abuse. Laura is also the President of the Sarasota Seminole Club, which acts as the local arm of the Florida State University Alumni Association and Seminole Boosters, and contributes to the community by providing scholarships for high school students and performing community service projects. Laura served as a board member for the Early Learning Coalition of Sarasota County from 2006 to 2013.

In her spare time, she enjoys being with her daughters, ages two and six, and is an avid football fan.
