Louis M. Ursini III joined Adams and Reese in 2010 following the firm's expansion into Florida. Louis served as Partner in Charge of the Adams and Reese Tampa office through a highly successful growth period until he transitioned into his current management position as one of the firm’s four Litigation Practice Group Leaders for the entire litigation team throughout the Adams and Reese geographic footprint.

Louis concentrates his practice in corporate representation and commercial litigation. He has considerable experience in the defense of financial institutions and collection professionals, corporate governance, shareholder disputes, contested foreclosures, real estate litigation, probate and trust litigation, class action litigation, adversary bankruptcy proceedings, and construction litigation.

In the financial services context, Louis has extensive statewide and national experience including the representation of national and regional banking institutions, lenders, servicers, and collection professionals with related to claims under the Truth in Lending Act, RESPA, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Telephone Consumer Protection Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act, and various state and federal claims in the contested foreclosure context. Louis also represents many banking institutions in garnishment and process matters, claims of forged endorsements, embezzlement, wrongful dishonor, and general operational matters. In addition to handling matters throughout Florida, Louis manages his client’s matters in this area throughout the Adams and Reese footprint including Texas, Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina and Tennessee.

Louis has spoken at numerous engagements related to consumer law, mortgage litigation, and creditors remedies, and has been published in the Tampa Bay Area Business Magazine. Previously, Louis was an executive board member of the Sarasota County Bar Association (SCBA), past president of the Young Lawyers Division of the SCBA, Chair of the Diversity Committee of the SCBA fostering diversity and inclusion. For over eight years, Louis was an elected member and now appointed member of the Young Lawyers Board of Governors for the Florida Bar Association which represents over 20,000 young lawyers in the State of Florida. He was an executive board member of the Sarasota Builders Association, recipient of the Gulf Coast Business Review’s "40 under 40" award and member of the 2012 Leadership Tampa Program.

Louis received his J.D., cum laude, from Stetson University College of Law in 2000. At Stetson, he was a member of the Moot Court Team, a charter member of the Business Law Society, and research assistant. He also clerked with the Second District Court of Appeals. Louis received his Master of Business Administration from Stetson University in 2000; undergraduate degree with honors from the University of South Florida in 1996. Louis also studied at the Universita per Stranieri in Perugia, Italy.

The most influential person in Louis' life is his father, who continuously stressed the importance of family, loyalty, integrity, hard work and the drive towards excellence.
