Litigation

Megan Guy is a litigation partner and the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Team Leader. She is a member of the Defense Research Institute and currently serves as the DRI Drug and Device Committee State Liaison for Louisiana.

Her practice emphasizes products liability and mass tort/class action litigation, including representation of manufacturers of pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and equipment. Her experience also includes litigation and transactions arising out of the exploration, development and production of oil and gas in the Gulf Coast Region.

Selected representative matters include:

  • Local MDL counsel in nationwide multi-district pharmaceutical products liability litigation.
  • Representation of Parish in class action lawsuit relating to levee design and construction.
  • Advising nonprofit medical research consortium on issues ranging from governance to facility management and operations.

She was named to Women of the Year – New Orleans CityBusiness 2009. She has served as Vice Chair of the Board of Governors for Junior Achievement of Greater New Orleans; Chair for the Junior League of New Orleans’ Power Ties Committee; and was a member of GNO Inc.'s New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute Program, Class of 2011. She also volunteers with Louisiana Appleseed, a pro-bono organization that addresses systemic injustices through legal, legislative and market-based structural reform.

Megan is a member of the Louisiana, American and Federal Bar Associations. She has served as the Vice-Chair of the Admiralty and Maritime Law Committee of the Tort and Insurance Practice Section of the ABA. She is admitted to practice in the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and all other federal and state courts in Louisiana.

When she isn’t working, Megan enjoys playing tennis, travel and spending time with her children and family.
