Melissa Grand joined Adams and Reese in 2009 and is an Associate in the Litigation Practice Group. Her practice includes all aspects of commercial litigation. She handles a wide variety of complex commercial litigation cases and is experienced in matters involving administrative law, construction litigation, entertainment law, and banking and finance litigation.
Melissa received her Juris Doctorate and Graduate Diploma in Civil Law from Louisiana State University, Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 2009. She is admitted to practice before the Louisiana Supreme Court, the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts in Louisiana, and the United States Fifth Circuit.
Her other significant contributions and honors include:
- Contributing as a member of the Louisiana Law Review Board of Editors where she was a Senior Editor and authored a Law Review paper selected for publication in Volume 69 of the Louisiana Law Review.
- Receiving the James K. Harrison, Jr. Memorial Scholarship.
- Selection to the Chancellor’s Honor Roll and Dean’s List at Louisiana State University, graduating cum laude with Upper Division Honors Distinction.
Since joining the firm, Melissa has been actively involved in the community. She chairs the Holiday Star Project for the firm, a program coordinated by the Baton Rouge Bar Association, which sponsors under-privileged children in the community at Christmas. She’s also a member of the firm’s “Belly Up with the Bar Team,” sponsored by the Baton Rouge Bar Association. Melissa also enjoys being a part of Forum 35, a community of engaged young men and women dedicated to improving and shaping Baton Rouge.
When Melissa isn’t practicing law and volunteering, she enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends.
