Paula M. Reever

Paula M. Reever joined Adams and Reese’s District of Columbia office in 2017 as a Government Relations Advisor with the Government Relations team. With the firm, Paula will keep the attorneys and other colleagues informed on matters regarding the federal government, including Congress and Federal agencies, and their potential effect on their clients.

Prior to joining our DC office, Paula was vice president in a boutique public relations and communications firm where she specialized in developing communication strategies for clients that included Fortune 500 companies, non-profit organizations, trade associations, political organizations and Congressional campaigns. She also executed strategic initiatives including public affairs strategies to support grassroots advocacy and both federal and state government affairs efforts. In addition, Paula worked for Bloomberg Government where she wrote and published real-time legislative coverage of the United States House of Representatives and Senate floor activity, including key floor actions and votes, procedural maneuvers and considerations, and committee activity.

Paula’s media and public affairs background has given her:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of complex legislative and federal budget processes enabling her to distill and summarize procedural and legislative positions.
  • Experience in identifying and managing legislative, regulatory, media and administrative opportunities to advance client objectives.
  • Experience in evaluating national, state and local impact of federal legislation and administrative proposals.

Paula graduated in June 2010 from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business/Economics and Political Science, emphasizing in Public Policy.

In her spare time, Paula volunteers with the Junior League of Washington – serving as a member of the Marketing Committee – and also teaches indoor cycling classes.
