Quinn A. Henderson joined Adams and Reese in 2010 following the firm's expansion into St. Petersburg. He is a Partner in the Special Business Services Practice Group and has been practicing law since 2003.
Quinn's practice focuses on construction, commercial, banking and administrative litigation, representing developers, contractors, business owners and banks. He works to advise and assist his clients in developing smart, efficient ways to resolve their legal issues.
During the first five years of his practice, Quinn predominantly worked for sureties, giving him a broader understanding of the role and relationship that sureties and their bonds have with construction projects and other numerous aspects of the commercial society.
His representative experience includes:
- Representing numerous lenders in commercial foreclosure actions, as well as litigation brought by borrowers and other third parties who asserted various claims arising from the parties' lending relationship.
- Resolving numerous construction lien cases arising out of the troubled development of a 40-story condo building located in South Florida.
- Representing a non-selected bidder that challenged a state agency’s contract award decision worth approximately $250 million.
Quinn is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida.
Growing up in Tallahassee, he has a familiarity with the operations of Florida’s state government, including its various agencies, boards, divisions and bureaus. During law school at Florida State University College of Law, where he earned his J.D., Quinn expanded this knowledge and experience when he interned for the State House of Representatives. He earned his B.A. from Emory University in 1993.
Before starting his legal career, Quinn served as an officer in the United States Army and completed two tours in Bosnia-Herzegovina. During law school, he served in the U.S. Army Reserves where he deployed to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, as a Company Commander and Intelligence Officer at Camp Delta.
In the community, Quinn is actively involved with the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce and is currently serving as the Chamber's General Counsel. He was also a member of the Leadership St. Petersburg Class of 2009, and remains an active member of the Leadership St. Petersburg Alumni Association where he networks with representatives from across the full spectrum of businesses and industries present in St Petersburg.
Among the people Quinn most admires are his former commander, Lt. Col. Gregory Stone, and his former supervising officer, Capt. Drew Peterson, who provided excellent examples of leadership based on motivation, inspiration and competence displayed during their 12-month deployment to Bosnia.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, watching Florida State University athletics and staying atop current events.
