Ralph Wall joined Adams and Reese in 1993, and is a Partner in the firm's New Orleans office. Ralph practices in the fields of professional liability, medical malpractice, healthcare regulation, insurance coverage, and commercial litigation.
In his medical malpractice work, Ralph defends nursing homes, physicians, and hospitals. His health care regulatory work includes service as disciplinary counsel for the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners. In that capacity, he conducts and supervises state regulatory and disciplinary investigations and proceedings involving various health care professions and professionals for the State of Louisiana.
In his insurance coverage work, he assists clients in the drafting of policies and endorsements, advice on claims, and defense of insurance companies related to coverage. Ralph also assists closely held corporations in commercial litigation matters. He generally advises his clients on insurance and antitrust issues and litigates matters involving toxic tort, premises liability and vehicles.
In his transportation practice, Ralph leads the firm’s transportation team representing clients ranging from railroads, airlines and motor carrier companies to vehicle and component part manufacturers. Ralph focuses on insurance coverage and the successful defense of heavy equipment, security systems, motor coach and industrial equipment manufacturers in federal and state courts throughout the country.
His other significant contributions include:
- Assisting and mentoring young lawyers not only in the mechanics of the practice of law, but how to practice law with ethics and professionalism. Serving as a member of the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel and the Defense Research Institute. Ralph served on the board, and is also the Past President of the New Orleans Association of Defense Counsel.
- He is admitted to practice in the state courts of Louisiana, the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Ralph is a graduate of the 2010 class of Leadership Jefferson, a leadership training program of the Jefferson Parish Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the Board of Governance for the Jefferson Chamber Foundation Academy, a local charter school.
He obtained his J.D. from Loyola University School of Law and served on the Moot Court staff for two years.
In his spare time, Ralph enjoys coaching youth sports, white water rafting and fishing.
