D. Reed Houk joined Adams and Reese in 2005 in the firm's Nashville office and serves as a Partner with the Real Estate Team in the Transactions and Corporate Advisory Services Group.
Reed practices primarily in the areas of real estate, banking and commercial law, as well as bankruptcy and reorganizations emphasizing on the development of commercial real estate.
His significant achievements include:

- Ranked by Chambers USA as a Leader in the Field of Real Estate.
- Selected among the "Best of the Bar" in Real Estate by the Nashville Business Journal.
Reed is admitted to practice before the United States District Court, Middle District of Tennessee, and the United States Court of Appeals, Sixth Circuit. He is a member of the Nashville, Tennessee, and American Bar Associations and the Commercial Law League of America.
Reed received his J.D. from the University of Tennessee in 1979. He served on the Tennessee Law Review and was a member of Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity. He received his Bachelor of Science degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Tennessee in 1976.
