Adams and Reese is pleased to announce the following eight attorneys who have been elected to Partner, effective January 1, 2013: Britton Bonner, Mobile; Jay Campbell, Memphis; Clayton Cannon, Houston; Ken Curtin, Tampa; Scott Jones and Laura Rose, Jackson; Mindi Robinson, Birmingham; and Edward Playfair, Nashville.
 
Britton Bonner first joined Adams and Reese as a law clerk in 1999 and now serves as Partner in Charge in the Mobile Office. His practice focuses on business growth and economic development, encompassing a wide range of practice matters, including governmental relations, public finance and incentives, construction disputes, real estate transactions, contractual disputes, commercial condominium and residential development issues, municipal and regulatory compliance, and other general business matters.
 
Jay Campbell joined Adams and Reese in 2006 and serves as a Partner in the Transactions and Corporate Advisory Services Practice Group in the firm’s Memphis office. He focuses his practice on middle-market mergers and acquisitions and middle-market corporate finance, including corporate lending and corporate equity formation.
 
Clayton Cannon has more than 20 years of experience in construction and business litigation. For three consecutive years, Cannon has been honored among Texas Super Lawyers in construction litigation and business litigation. His practice includes the litigation of commercial and residential construction cases, numerous types of commercial disputes, employment disputes and defense of personal injuries. In addition to construction law, he has experience in complex insurance coverage litigation and international litigation.
 
Ken Curtin is a member of the Litigation Practice Group in the Tampa and St. Petersburg offices. He has practiced law since 1996, focused in the areas of complex commercial, construction, community association and real property litigation as well as insurance defense and coverage issues. He is board certified by the Florida Bar in construction law and has extensive experience representing clients before various boards of the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, including the Construction Industry Licensing Board, the Board of Architecture and Interior Design, and the Division of Real Estate.
 
Scott Jones has made a successful transition to the practice of law in the Adams and Reese Jackson office, after serving as a pricing and revenue analyst in the technology sector of a Fortune 500 company. He has litigated matters ranging from commercial disputes, contractual disputes, insurance, partner/shareholder disputes, unfair competition, banking and lender liability, construction matters, bankruptcy, trademarks and employment issues.
 
Mindi Robinson has practiced law since 1996, focused primarily on consumer finance litigation and the representation of mortgage loan originators, servicers, and investors in litigation throughout the Southeast. She has experience representing banks and mortgage loan originators, servicers, and investors in litigation. She also has experience in complex and class action litigation; title insurance coverage and litigation; toxic tort and construction defect litigation and insurance coverage analysis.
 
Laura Rose joined Adams and Reese in 2006 after graduating from Vanderbilt University Law School, and she practices in the Jackson office. She focuses her practice on commercial and employment litigation. She is licensed to practice law in Mississippi and Tennessee.
 
Edward Playfair joined Adams and Reese in 2009 in the firm's Nashville office and as a member of the Intellectual Property and Technology team. He has particular experience in the areas of domestic and international trademarks and brand protection, e-commerce, the entertainment and new media industries, and general commercial contracts. As a citizen of the United Kingdom and Australia, and now permanently resident in the United States, Playfair brings an especially international perspective to advising clients on matters around the globe.
