Adams and Reese attorney David Bowsher, who serves as Partner in Charge of the firm’s Birmingham office, has become a member of the Birmingham MS Leadership Class of 2013, a group of Birmingham area professionals who have made outstanding contributions to their profession and to the community and who have agreed to partake in a fundraising campaign in the fight against Multiple Sclerosis.
Bowsher is participating in Birmingham MS Leadership’s Honorary Chair Patrick Cummings’ challenge to raise $2,500 or more at the individual level.
The Birmingham MS Leadership Class campaign is a fundraising campaign that honors senior level professionals for their outstanding contributions to the business, civic and cultural betterment of the city. The Birmingham MS Leadership Class has honored nearly 1,100 community leaders since 1994 and raised nearly a million dollars in the fight against MS. Last year, the class of 2012 raised more than $125,000 for MS programs, services and research.
Honorees within the Birmingham MS Leadership Class will be honored at a reception on May 2nd at Workplay from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Honorees will also be presented with an MS Leadership Award and have their photo taken for an ad in the Birmingham Business Journal.
At Adams and Reese, Bowsher’s practice focuses principally on mergers and acquisitions involving troubled companies and on corporate restructuring and bankruptcy issues. He also spends time in the firm’s DC office on governmental relations matters.
Bowsher is a member of the Leadership Birmingham Class of 2013, and was a recipient of the “Top 40 Under 40” award by the Birmingham Business Journal. He is also a graduate of the 2011 class of Birmingham Project Corporate Leadership.
