The Jefferson Chamber of Commerce, on which Adams and Reese attorney Johnny Domiano serves as Board Chairman, has earned the distinction as the state’s leading Chamber of Commerce of 2013, according to the Louisiana Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (LACCE).
At the organization’s recent summit, The Jefferson Chamber was honored for its outstanding achievements by a large Chamber of Commerce as the “Best Chamber of Commerce” in the division of Chamber’s exceeding 500 members. The Jefferson Chamber was recognized for its strength of voice in policy making, quick rise in membership, commitment to businesses in Jefferson, promotion of economic development in the region and impressive array of business networking opportunities for members.
The Jefferson Chamber, under the direction of CEO and President Todd Murphy since May 2012, has completely rebranded itself and recently completed a membership drive that raised the organization to 1,000 members.
Said Murphy, “This is a great honor for Jefferson Parish, our Chamber and our thriving business community. When we set our sights toward making The Jefferson Chamber a more active and aggressive voice for business development and economic stimulation, the business and government leaders responded favorably. Today we are working in harmony to help our existing businesses grow and welcome new business to Jefferson.”
A panel of independent judges who are also chamber executives from across the country reviewed the Louisiana chambers and determined which Chambers were considered the best in three size categories.
The Louisiana Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives is a membership driven, non-profit organization formed in order to bring together the executives of the Chambers of Commerce throughout the state. The Organization serves as a catalyst to network and educate the executives and the staffs within the statewide chamber areas.
