The Adams and Reese Jackson office received First Place honors in the “Best Places to Work” Medium-Size Companies category, classified by local number of employees, announced today by the Mississippi Business Journal at its annual awards luncheon at the Hilton Hotel.
Adams and Reese placed second in the same category last year, and this was the eighth consecutive year overall that the law firm has been named among the “Best Places to Work” in Mississippi.
Adams and Reese will be featured in a special “Best Places to Work” section in the publication in August.
Adams and Reese was chosen as an honoree based on the results of an online employee survey completed by Jackson office employees. Factors that influenced the firm's ranking were such benefits as competitive salaries, maternity and day-care options, health, prescription and dental benefits, 401(k) and profit sharing plans, life and disability plans, employee recognition programs and a commitment to personal health by holding an annual Health Fair, weight loss program and providing discounts for health club memberships.
Additionally, the opportunity for all employees to participate in HUGS, the firm’s award-winning corporate philanthropy program, weighed in heavily to make Adams and Reese one the top employer-friendly companies in the city. For attorneys, the opportunity to participate in CA&RE, the firm’s official pro bono program, is considered a unique and important part of belonging to the firm.
Aside from the Adams and Reese Jackson office, the Birmingham, Memphis, Nashville and New Orleans offices have also been recognized among the “Best Places to Work” by publications in their respective communities. In 2012, the Adams and Reese New Orleans office won first place in CityBusiness’ “Best Places to Work” in the large company category.
