Adams and Reese Names Rebecca C. Appelbaum Special Counsel in Tampa Office

Rebecca C. Appelbaum has joined Adams and Reese as special counsel and a member of the litigation practice team in the firm’s Tampa office, local Partner in Charge Deborah H. Oliver announced.

A licensed attorney since 1999, Appelbaum primarily practices in the areas of third-party liability coverage. She routinely addresses coverage issues found in construction defect, personal and advertising injury, professional liability and personal injury matters, and her practice also includes third-party liability defense, extra-contractual, automobile and appellate matters.

Rebecca has authored and co-authored several articles concerning liability coverage for various publications, including the International Risk Management Institute, New Appleman on Insurance, Mealey’s Bad Faith Reporter and has contributed chapters to DRI publications.

She is a member of the ABA Section of Litigation, the Claims & Litigation Management Alliance (CLM) and the Defense Research Institute (DRI). Rebecca also holds a preeminent “AV” rating from Martindale-Hubbell®.

A triple graduate of Syracuse University, Appelbaum earned a bachelor of arts in music in 1995, a master of arts in advertising from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications in 1997 and a J.D. with an International Legal Studies Certificate from the College of Law in 1998. As an undergraduate, she was a member of Tau Beta Sigma service sorority.

Appelbaum served as a field assistant with the Syracuse marching band, performed with the wind ensemble and was a member of the Sour Sitrus Society, where she served as public relations chair from 1996-97.
