The Adams and Reese New Orleans office held a dress-down day, Pelicans’ basketball game ticket raffle and a bake sale to raise a total of $3,700 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, in conjunction with the organization’s annual Louisiana Chapter Walk, which took place November 9th at Audubon Park.
The Louisiana chapter of the JDRF has raised more than $163,000 of its $245,000 goal this year.
The Walk raises funds for the millions of people living with and affected by type 1 diabetes (T1D), and more than 200 Walks are held every year in the United States, and dozens more take place internationally. More than 900,000 people participate each year. Since 1992, the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes has raised more than $1 billion for T1D research.
The JDRF is a member of the Adams and Reese employee volunteer program, HUGS (Hope, Understanding, Giving, and Support), which for 25 years has devoted financial resources and thousands of volunteer hours to more than 200 community service organizations nationwide.
