Adams and Reese Partner David Bowsher Elected to Board of Republican National Lawyers Association

Adams and Reese Partner David Bowsher has been elected to the Board of Governors of the Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA), as the organization announced six new members to join an elite group of prominent Republican attorneys from around the country who will help to lead the 5,000-member strong organization for the next year.
The RNLA is the national organization of Republican attorneys, and the mission of the RNLA is to advance professionalism, open, fair and honest elections, career opportunity, and Republican ideals. 
At Adams and Reese, Bowsher serves as Partner in Charge of the firm’s Birmingham office, and his practice focuses principally on mergers and acquisitions involving troubled companies and on corporate restructuring and bankruptcy issues. He also spends time in the firm’s D.C. office on governmental relations matters.
Bowsher came to Adams and Reese from the U.S. Department of Commerce, where he served as Acting General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel. During that time, he advised senior United States Government officials, co-led United States engagement with the People’s Republic of China on transparency in government as part of the Strategic Economic Dialogue, and led United States participation in the United States-China Legal Exchange as part of the Joint Commission on Commerce and Trade.
Bowsher served as a judicial clerk for Judge William H. Yohn, Jr. of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
