Adams and Reese is pleased to announce that Grant J. Guillot has joined the firm as an Associate in the Litigation Practice Group in its Baton Rouge office. Practicing law since 2009, Guillot has a broad litigation background and has maintained a practice in various areas including appellate litigation, business and contractual disputes, campaign finance, constitutional law, election law, governmental ethics, insurance, labor and employment, and real estate.

In his representative experience, Guillot has advised business entities on compliance with federal and state laws, contracts, corporate bylaws, employment issues, partnership agreements, and issues pertaining to breach of fiduciary duty and fraud. He has also advised government entities, officials, and candidates for political office regarding constitutional issues, election laws, employment issues, and compliance with governmental ethics and campaign finance laws.
In the community, Guillot is an assistant editor and contributing writer for Around the Bar, the magazine of the Baton Rouge Bar Association. He has also contributed articles to the Louisiana Bar Journal, a publication of the Louisiana State Bar Association. Guillot has also presented seminars on various legal issues including the legal implications of the utilization of social media and other forms of electronic communications, employment discrimination issues and other labor and employment matters, open meetings and public records laws, professionalism in the practice of law, and law practice management.
He earned his J.D. and Graduate Diploma of Civil Law from Louisiana State University’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center as well as his B.A. in Mass Communications with a Minor in Business Administration from LSU.
