Adams and Reese’s Fort Lauderdale Office Extends Financial Services Practice

Within three months of announcing new offices in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Atlanta, Ga., Adams and Reese now covers the entire state of Florida and has added the state of Georgia to the firm’s regional footprint. The additional banking and financial services attorneys in its Fort Lauderdale office continue to support the firm’s growing financial services client base.

The Fort Lauderdale office of Adams and Reese is led by Christopher Y. Mills and collaborates with the firm's banking and financial services team in the representation of a number of the firm’s financial institutions and community bank clients in Florida and throughout the firm’s regional footprint.

Christopher Y. Mills serves as Partner in Charge of our Fort Lauderdale office. He is a member of our Banking and Financial Services Practice Team and primarily represents financial institutions, funds, businesses, and real estate owners and developers with a variety of real estate and corporate transactional needs. He is admitted to practice in both Florida and Georgia. An attorney for nearly a decade, Mills has extensive experience representing lenders with originations, acquisitions, servicing, and the disposition of commercial loans. He also represents a varied business clientele with their corporate governance matters.

Margaret “Maggie" Kepler joined Adams and Reese as an Associate in our Fort Lauderdale office. She is a member of our Banking and Financial Services Practice Team. A real estate and bankruptcy attorney, Kepler represents financial institutions, businesses, and real estate owners and developers in all aspects of real estate litigation, consumer finance disputes and bankruptcy proceedings, and in a variety of commercial real estate and corporate transactional and compliance matters.

Chantal Pillay joined as an Associate and is a member of our Banking and Financial Services Practice Team. As a litigator, Pillay represents lenders and servicers in a wide variety of commercial and residential real estate litigation. She often handles litigation arising out of contested foreclosures and advises clients on responses to regulatory directives and actions. She also has experience in post-judgment collections.

Debbie Satyal joined Special Counsel in our Fort Lauderdale office. She is a member of our Banking and Financial Services Practice Team. An attorney for nearly a decade, Satyal defends financial institutions, servicers and other businesses in a variety of residential and commercial real estate litigation matters. She is experienced in handling litigation matters arising out of title defects, foreclosures, defensive litigation, federal regulatory compliance and landlord-tenant law. She has also handled litigation related to bankruptcy as well as immigration law.
