Adams and Reese Of Counsel Bob Campbell received an Honorary Doctorate from the United States Sports Academy recognizing his more than 50-year commitment to the practice of law and as the longest serving USSA board chair.
The honor from the USSA also acknowledges those who have distinguished themselves through outstanding leadership and achievement in sports, sports education, and in sports-related professions.
Campbell received the Honorary Doctorate at the USSA Graduation Commencement held May 18. Graduates received their masters and doctorate degrees in Sport Education.
Campbell’s distinguished legal career has revolved around litigation at all levels of Alabama state and federal courts with the majority of his practice related to school board and education law, representing school boards, school districts, and individual schools. He has also maintained a general civil practice, as well as representing clients in criminal defense, personal injury and other various other matters.
Campbell served in the U.S. Army Infantry attached to JAG from 1967–1969. An active member of the local business community, he served as Chairman of the Board of a local bank in Mobile for more than 12 years, and he has served as municipal attorney for the Town of Dauphin Island since 1999.
