Christopher Burkett and Brooke McGee have joined the firm’s Nashville office as Associates.
Burkett’s practice focuses on helping clients in obtaining, maintaining, and enforcing their intellectual property rights. He works with a range of clients from musical artists to multinational corporations.
Burkett received his law degree from Vanderbilt University Law School in 2019. At Vanderbilt, he was a member of the Vanderbilt Journal of Entertainment & Technology Law and Phi Delta Phi. He was named to the Dean’s List and was a Chancellor’s Law Scholar. A 2015 graduate of the University of Georgia, Burkett studied political science, psychology and cognitive science. He was named a Presidential Scholar and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
From hospitality to healthcare, McGee assists clients with licensing, permitting, and regulatory compliance. In her corporate practice, she advises clients throughout business and real estate transactions and provides counseling on franchising and employee benefit matters.
A 2019 graduate of Vanderbilt University Law School, McGee was active in the Law and Business Society and earned her Law and Business Certificate along with her Doctor of Jurisprudence. McGee completed her undergraduate studies in criminal justice administration at Middle Tennessee State University (2014).
