Adams and Reese labor and employment attorney Leslie Lanusse, in the firm’s New Orleans office, has been named a 2013 “BTI Client Service All-Star,” a group of attorneys nominated solely and exclusively by clients in BTI’s independent study on client service.
In its 12th year, the “BTI Client Service All-Stars 2013” celebrates 307 individual attorneys hailing from 194 unique firms. BTI conducted more than 240 individual interviews with corporate counsel at Fortune 1000 and large organizations to select the attorneys. Corporate counsel named just 41 labor and employment attorneys as leaders in client service, including Lanusse.
Lanusse is also ranked by Chambers USA, Louisiana Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers (by BL Rankings, LLC) in Labor and Employment Law. At Adams and Reese, Lanusse has more than two decades of experience in the representation of management in all phases of employee relations.
Her experience has included defending claims of discrimination before the EEOC and the Louisiana Commission on Human Rights; handling claims arising under the Fair Labor Standards Act and state compensation commissions; defense of OSHA and environmental whistleblower claims before administrative agencies; defense of FMLA claims; defense of claims of violation by employers of the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986; and defending employers during investigation of compliance with wage and hour laws. She also regularly drafts employment policies, trains in compliance and best practices, and provides ongoing advice and counsel regarding employment issues, including drafting and advising on implementation of affirmative action plans.
