Gaskill, Corriveau Interviewed on Goodwill Manasota Radio Show About Firm’s Impact on Sarasota Community, HUGS Program


Adams and Reese Sarasota Office Partner in Charge Jason Gaskill and Business Development Manager Laurel Corriveau were interviewed on Goodwill Manasota’s radio show, “Tell Me Something Good” on radio stations 98.9FM, 106.9FM and 1220AM, as they discussed the Firm’s HUGS (Hope, Understanding, Giving and Support) program, community activities in Sarasota and the Firm’s working relationship with Goodwill Manasota. Goodwill Manasota is a nonprofit that turns donations into good jobs, good homes and good neighborhoods for people in need in the Sarasota community.

Adams and Reese and its employees have been longtime contributors to Goodwill Manasota and to charitable efforts in the Sarasota community. Adams and Reese was named Goodwill Manasota’s “Company of the Year” in 2014. Gaskill received the distinction of “Goodwill Manasota Super Hero” last year, and he serves as a devoted Goodwill Manasota Ambassador.

Throughout the year, Adams and Reese partners with Goodwill Manasota on various community projects. This past Christmas, Adams and Reese helped finance Christmas to a local Sarasota family in need, raising money and purchasing gifts for a single mother and her four children. The fundraising provided the family with Christmas gifts, stockings, gingerbread house, complete holiday dinner, and a Christmas tree with all the decorations.

Every Thanksgiving, the Sarasota office holds a food drive for All Faiths Food Bank. This past year, employees volunteered at the organization’s site to help distribute 950 turkey dinners to families in need for the Thanksgiving holidays, and also donated more than 100 pounds of food to All Faiths. This past summer, Adams and Reese organized a “Summer Briefs” HUGS drive for Resurrection House, collecting men’s and women’s pants, shirts, socks, shoes, undergarments, and belts, to help the homeless. Adams and Reese employees also volunteer at American Cancer Society events, such as the Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk and Super Cookoff Fundraiser for Relay for Life; the American Heart Association Chili Cookoff; Early Learning Coalition to help rebuild its Center; and Southeastern Guide Dogs and Lily’s Angels, to name a few.

The Adams and Reese employee community service and philanthropic program is known as HUGS. The program was founded in 1988, and now, throughout the Firm’s 16 offices in seven states in our regional footprint, Adams and Reese donates time and financial resources to more than 200 organizations.
