Adams and Reese Partner Kevin Hayes served as panelist at the 2015 SCG Legal Annual Meeting, held September 10-11 at the Pan Pacific Vancouver Hotel in British Columbia, Canada.
Hayes participated in the discussion, “Winning in the New Legal Economy: What Profitable Firms Are Doing to Keep Their Competitive Edge,” as attorneys discussed the fact that legal markets are undergoing significant change, putting the traditional law firm business model under increasing pressure. Clients want to change the way they do business with lawyers, and new market entrants such as legal start-ups, new technologies, LPOs, and alternative business structures are adding to the competitive mix, giving rise to uncertainty about how to remain profitable and ensure long-term success.
Joining Hayes on the panel included: Daniel Ronesi, Director of Business of Law Services, Aderant; Dwight Drake, Nelson Mullins; and Bill Moreau, Jr., Barnes & Thornburg.
