Adams and Reese attorney Charles Castille, the former undersecretary of Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals, will lead the third annual statewide, health care professional panel on “The Future of Medicaid in Louisiana: What Now?” to be held at the Pennington Conference Center in Baton Rouge on Thursday, September 5, 2013, from 1:30 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Panelists include Jerry Phillips, Undersecretary, Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals (DHH); Dr. Fred Cerise, Former LSU System Vice President for Health Affairs and Medical Education and Former Secretary, DHH; and David Hood, Former Secretary, DHH.
Topics include Implementation of the Affordable Care Act, Medicaid Expansion, Public Private Partnerships, Bayou Health, and Medicaid Funding.
At Adams and Reese, Castille serves as Special Counsel in the firm’s Baton Rouge office. He was a longtime attorney with the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals who spent 12 years as undersecretary of DHH.
He has a total of 35 years in public service, was responsible for planning, directing and coordinating all activities for the DHH Office of Management and Finance, including Medicaid, planning and budget, human resources training and development, fiscal information, information technology, engineering and architectural services, contracts and procurement support, materials management, Health Education Authority of Louisiana, and safety and security.
